Nature Detectives Early Winter

Wednesday, December 2, 2020

Embrace the arrival of winter with weekly adventures at Sheldrake. School-aged children can enjoy being nature detectives as they search for life under logs and observe the impact of changing temperatures on the natural world. Our all-outdoor nature program gives school-aged children the opportunity for STEM enrichment, connection with nature, and the company of other young enthusiasts.

Our Nature Detectives:

  • get first-hand experience with science and nature
  • learn about birds, insects, seeds, trees, and other natural wonders
  • enjoy the outdoors as they explore the trails of a 60-acre conservancy
  • have fun with nature games and other activities

Dates: Wednesdays – December 2-January 27 (7 sessions; no class December 23 or 30)

Time: 3:30-4:30 pm

For ages: 6-9 (drop-off program)

COVID-19 Precautions: All participants are required to wear masks, complete daily health screeners, have their temperature taken daily, and sign a waiver at the outset of the program.
