Learn

Become involved with the natural world.

Children learn about nature.
We offer a variety of programs for children, schools and scouts that foster a better understanding and appreciation of local ecology and encourage nature exploration by allowing children to experience nature first hand – turn over a log, pick up a bug, make a leaf collage. The program combines in-class discussion with on-site visits to one of three local sites: The Larchmont Reservoir, Sheldrake River Trail or Dog Beach.

Protect our natural resources.
We hope that these programs inspire environmental awareness and community activities to preserve, protect and enhance local environmental resources. Participation in our ecology programs not only teaches ecological concepts to the members of our community but also enables them to become effective stewards of the natural world.
