Young Explorers Fall 2020
October 19, 2020 @ 1:00 pm - November 16, 2020 @ 2:30 pm
Join Sheldrake for our all-outdoor nature program, designed to give children the opportunity for STEM enrichment, connection with nature, and the company of other young enthusiasts. Each week, we’ll explore Sheldrake’s 60 acres, observing the changes in the natural world from late summer through mid-autumn. Whether rolling logs in search of creepy-crawlies, noticing the changing colors of leaves, or tiptoeing to the frog pond to see who might be visible among the lily pads, we’ll create our own adventure.
Children will be provided with a backpack and nature journal, to be brought to each class with their own writing instruments from home.
Our Young Explorers:
- get first-hand experience with science and nature
- learn about birds, insects, seeds, trees, and other natural wonders
- enjoy the outdoors as they walk the trails of a 60-acre conservancy
- have fun with nature games and other activities
