Volunteering at Sheldrake
October 1, 2020 @ 2:30 pm - December 17, 2020 @ 4:30 pm
FreeVolunteer with us at Sheldrake on Thursday afternoons between 2:30 and 4:30 pm! You can join us for a one-time visit or weekly if your schedule permits. We will be doing a variety of things, including cleanup of our trails, gardening, and invasive plant removal. You do not need to stay for the entire two hours, but please do arrive on time to make sure we find each other.
We will meet at the potting shed; if you take the 687 Weaver Street driveway it is the white building on the right-hand side. You may park in the small lot further down the driveway (past the potting shed), also on the right.
Dress appropriately: long sleeves, long pants, and closed toe shoes are strongly recommended.
We have a few gardening gloves available, but in light of their condition (not so great) and general COVID precautions, we ask that you bring your own if you have.
Mask wearing and social distancing are mandatory.
If you are under the age of 18, we will need a parent to sign a release form before the first time that you volunteer.
Please note that cell phone coverage is spotty on site; we recommend arranging your ride home before arriving.
This program will not take place on Thursday, November 26 (Thanksgiving Day). Additionally, the event will be canceled in inclement weather. Canceled on Thursday, November 19.
