After-School Nature Bugs – Feb-Mar 2020
February 28, 2020 @ 2:45 pm - March 27, 2020 @ 4:00 pm
Winter is a time of dormancy, but there’s still much to be and enjoyed in nature! At Sheldrake, we embrace the weather and spend time outside each week, observing the snow, searching for animal tracks, noticing the leafless trees and evergreens, checking to see if the water is flowing or frozen, and feeling the brisk air. With the coming of spring, we’ll study the changes around us, as plants and animals react to the growing warmth. Crafts, stories, play, and the company of other young enthusiasts add to the fun.
Our Nature Bugs:
- get hands-on experience with science and nature
- learn about birds, insects, seeds, and other natural wonders
- enjoy the outdoors as they walk the trails of a 60-acre conservancy
- have fun with nature games, stories, and crafts
Dates: Fridays – February 28 – March 27 (5 sessions)
Time: 2:45-4:00 pm
For ages: 3-6
Fee: $75 for members, $85 for non-members
Registration for this program is now closed. Please email scheduling@sheldrakecenter.org to be added to the wait list.
