Earth Day Art Exhibit

Sheldrake Environmental Center will host a juried art exhibition and craft/jewelry sale in honor of Earth Day. This exhibition is devoted to the “Inspiration of Nature” for the Sheldrake Environmental Center’s Earth Day Celebration on April 22nd 2017.

The Sheldrake Environmental Center invites artists to submit work that considers nature in various contexts.
JURIED ART EXHIBITION ELIGIBILITY
Artists must be 18 years old or older In any stage of their career All entries must represent original works of art.
Submission deadline: March 31, 2017
Notification of accepted work for the juried exhibit: April 7, 2017 
Preview party and reception for accepted 2D art work on Tuesday April 18th 7:30pm – 9:00pm
 
ART EXHIBIT RULES

– Artists may submit up to 3 digital images of artwork (jpeg format) for consideration to sheldrakeartexhibit2017@gmail.com.
– Maximum size of 2D artwork is 30 inches (We will consider larger works on a case by case basis)
– Each submission of work or series of works must include a description of the art, and statement on the subject of nature’s inspiration for the art.
– Submitted artwork image requirement: minimum 1000 pixels – maximum 2000 pixels JPEGS (only)
– Each jpeg must be titled with “ARTIST NAME – Title of Artwork – Year Created”
– Please note below the title, medium and dimensions of each work submitted, suggested price, year created, and edition size and number if relevant.
– All submissions must include your artist biography and artist statement about how the work was inspired by nature.

Suggested $15 exhibition donation per exhibited work if selected, plus a suggested 10% of sale price if sold during the exhibit. Accepted entries must deliver the artwork to Sheldrake Environmental Center by April 14th once confirmed, and are responsible for collecting any works at the end of the exhibit. All artwork must be ready to hang, and must be labeled on the back. By submitting work to the exhibition you confirm all works are original, made by you, and that Sheldrake Environmental Center may use images of the artwork to promote the exhibit on their website and for press. Artists may submit up to 3 works of art.
